I. just moved back from overseas and really wanted to find someone I could go to consistently and that I trust with my hair. Had the pleasure of having Cashai wash, re-twist and style my dreads. First time I’ve had them re-twisted instead of doing crocheting and my hair looks great. He was really good about answering my questions and was super understanding that I was running a little late. Locafella will be my regular spot.

Update 8/5/24:I was contacted by the owner which I appreciated, and then afterwards the stylist. I wasn’t expecting a refund, but I would’ve appreciated having my hair redone by a seasoned stylist. However, I was asked to remove the review and offered $50 from the stylist, Robin, who did my hair — which did not seem like a fair resolution. I expressed this and asked for a refund or for my hair to be redone and then I would remove the review. Haven’t heard from either since.—My experience at the salon was a series of unfortunate miscommunications that left me feeling disappointed. The constant changes to my appointment time, from 2:45 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., then 1 p.m., and finally 1:30 p.m., created confusion and stress. Without a formal email confirmation, I made the decision to adhere to my original appointment time, unaware of the impact this would have.Upon arrival, I was met with frustration from the stylist, who had rearranged their schedule based on our text exchanges. I deeply regret not calling to confirm my arrival time, as I now understand the ripple effect this had on their day. The stylist’s reaction, while understandable given their perspective, left me feeling guilty and uncomfortable.The situation escalated when I was informed that I couldn’t receive my desired service due to being “2 hours late,” despite arriving at my originally scheduled time. The threat of a cancellation fee for a service I was present to receive felt unjust and added to my growing anxiety. In an attempt to salvage the situation, I agreed to a reduced service – a wash and only 10 braids – for which I paid $300. I was also in the salon for about 4.5hrs.

I had the pleasure of having my hair braided by Lele. She is very light with her hands. I felt absolutely no pain during my service. Her work is extremely neat and always lasts a long time. She executed the style i presented her to perfection. Thank you for making me feel so beautiful with my braids. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for very detailed braiding styles.

What an amazing experience! I was looking for experience Loctician, who could repair and style my hair. I visited the website and booked my appointment and was absolutely delighted with both the service and the rapport in the salon. Jackie made me feel incredibly comfortable and worked her magic on my head and I left feeling 100% better about my crown I highly recommend Locafella studio!

Paige is a great Loc & Hair stylist she gets you right and all the other hair stylist in the shop and the shop is very clean & nice get with Paige in the hair sue you won’t be disappointed. & she did my daughters hair also. It came out real nice.

Self-taught locs specialist, Jasmin Thomas, began her career while attending college at Chico State University on a basketball scholarship. Upon earning her degree in Psychology, Jasmin returned where she began working side-by-side in her father’s barbershop, as a loc-tician “hairapist”.
